Paperback Verified download. Like another reviewer, I also write QTP scripts for a living. However, unlike that reviewer and I suspect Messrs Arora and Lalwani, my applications are not web based.

I read roughly half of the book and put it to the side as I didn't find much in the way of non-web based testing. Tarun keeps putting out quality products that are well explained and well coded. I have learned and used tons of information from this book. This is an excellent resource for learning descriptive programming with QTP.

Most of this material can be used with UFT also. Really nice book. I recommend this to the QTP learners who has the basic. I appreciate the author who wrote this book. Master Object Identification Techniques". Item as described.

I write QTP scripts for a living. I use Descriptive Programming exclusively. I never use the Object Repository: Lalwani, in my opinion, spends way too much time extolling the Object Repository.

It is for a reason. There are nuggets of wisdom hidden in the points in between and notes at the end of each chapter. Moreover, this guy has an uncanny habit of finding out undocumented features in QTP.

Who is this book for? Those who are at least a month or two old using QTP with some good effort. Those wanting to go beyond record-replay and feel like getting something advanced like working on Windows API,.

NET classes etc. Those who need help with Descriptive Programming. Those who need help designing their QTP frameworks. Those who need help with… fill it yourself What did you release it so late in and not when I was looking for such concepts? Who is this book not for? What I would want more? Since this book target beginners I would have loved to see more explanations for real-time applicability of terms like Execute, Eval.
